Development Applications
Depending on your project, you may need to submit a development application before you can get started. Learn more about each development application in the Municipality of West Elgin:

The County of Elgin Land Division Committee (LDC) is the approval authority for applications for consent (severance). Pre-consultation for these applications requires an initial consultation with West Elgin and then a formal pre-consultation with the County of Elgin through submission of a Pre-Consultation Request Form.
West Elgin Planning Pre-application Consultation (other than a severance) is required prior to application(s) submission with the Municipality of West Elgin and applicable agencies.
Please review the Municipality's Fees and Charges By-law for applicable fees; as of July of 2022 Planning Application fees may also be subject to LTVCA commenting fees. Please contact the Municipal Planner for further details or if you have any questions.
