West Elgin adopted the Joint Elgin County's Accessibility Plan in 2021, as per the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). The plan discusses past projects, identifies barriers in municipal buildings, and explains the process for improving accessibility.
We also have an Accessibility Policy so we are in compliance with the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation of the AODA and Temporary Service Disruption Policy.
Four Counties Transit Accessibility
We adopted the Four Counties Transit Accessibility Policy in 2019 to ensure we eliminate barriers and improve accessibility for our customers using the Four Counties Transit System.
