 Take Notice that tenders are invited for the purchase of the lands described below and will be received until 3:00 p.m. local time on March 31, 2022, at the West Elgin Municipal Office, 22413 Hoskins Line, Rodney Ontario.

The tenders will then be opened in public on the same day as soon as possible after 3:00 p.m. at the West Elgin Municipal Office, 22413 Hoskins Line, Rodney.

1. Roll No. 34 34 000 050 02300 0000; 10195 Graham Road; PIN 35112-0149 (LT); PT LT 18 CON 11 ALDBOROUGH AS IN E242494(FIRSTLY); WEST ELGIN; File No. 19-12.  According to the last returned assessment roll, the assessed value of the land is $632,000 Minimum tender amount: $55,395.22
2. Roll No. 34 34 000 020 15402 0000; 12568 Furnival Road; PIN 35110-0116 (LT); PT LT 7 CON 7 ALDBOROUGH PT 2 11R281; WEST ELGIN; File No. 19-14. According to the last returned assessment roll, the assessed value of the land is $301,000.Minimum tender amount: $32,008.65
3. Roll No. 34 34 000 030 06000 0000; 23092 Pioneer Line; PIN 35110-0521 (LT); LT 10 CON 8 ALDBOROUGH AS IN E86382 EXCEPT PT 9 D1048; S/T AL30204; WEST ELGIN; File No. 19-15. According to the last returned assessment roll, the assessed value of the land is $155,000 Minimum tender amount: $95,889.45
4. Roll No. 34 34 000 091 22400 0000; 220 Flora Street; PIN 35105-0300 (LT); PT LT 35 PL 202 ALDBOROUGH AS IN E233209; WEST ELGIN; File No. 19-16. According to the last returned assessment roll, the assessed value of the land is $66,000 Minimum tender amount: $8,426.80

 Tenders must be submitted in the prescribed form and must be accompanied by a deposit of at least 20 per cent of the tender amount, which deposit shall be made by way of a certified cheque/bank draft/ money order payable to the municipality.

 Except as follows, the municipality makes no representation regarding the title to or any other matters relating to the lands to be sold.  Responsibility for ascertaining these matters rests with the potential purchasers. The assessed value, according to the last returned assessment roll, may or may not be representative of the current market value of the property.

 This sale is governed by the Municipal Act, 2001 and the Municipal Tax Sales Rules made under that Act.  The successful purchaser will be required to pay the amount tendered plus accumulated taxes and any taxes that may be applicable, such as a land transfer tax and HST.

 The municipality has no obligation to provide vacant possession to the successful purchaser.
