Construction Notice: Talbot Line Slope Rehabilitation 

The County of Elgin will be starting a construction project on Talbot Line, immediately East of Pioneer Cemetery through the curve to approximately 300m east of the cemetery.

Tentative start date: November 1, 2021 with estimated completion on November 26, 2021.

This work will include the removal of guardrails and asphalt shoulders, excavate, shape and grade existing slope to stabilize with new granular material, install new subdrains, restore slopes, install erosion protection and reinstate guardrail and pave shoulders.

Talbot Line will be reduced to a single lane of signalized traffic, utilizing temporary portable traffic signals at each end of the project.
