Notice of Building Fees and Charges Public Meeting

Pursuant to Subsection 7(6) of the Building Code Act, R.S.O. 1992 as amended

 Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of West Elgin intends to give principle authority to pass a by-law adopting new and amended fees and charges under Section 7 of the Building Code Act, as amended at the Council Meeting meeting on December 2, 2021 virtually (meeting link can be found at www.westelgin.net).

 The following information can be obtained at no cost in person at the Municipal Office located at 135 Queen Street, Rodney or through email request:

a)    Estimate of costs of administering and enforcing the Building Code Act.

b)    Current fees and any proposed changes

c)     Rational to any changes or new charges

 Note: this shall serve as Public Notice should the review of the Building Fees and Charges be deferred to a future meeting.  Adoption of the Fees and Charges By-law will be done at a future Regular Council Meeting.
