Firefighter Recruitment

The West Elgin Fire Department is composed of trained volunteer/paid-on-call firefighters who promote public fire safety and protect the lives and property of our citizens.  Firefighters are dedicated to responding to 9-1-1 calls related to fires, medical emergencies and rescues. Currently we are recruiting for Probationary Firefighters at both Rodney and West Lorne Fire Stations, with daytime availability preferred.  Applications due by 4:00 pm on October 8, 2021.
