Public Works Operator 

The Municipality of West Elgin has an opening for a Full-Time Public Works Operator. The successful candidate will be required to carry out a wide variety of duties in connection with road maintenance and construction, including operation and maintenance of equipment. This position is based on a 40-hour work week with shift work required during the winter months. On call and occasional overtime may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Secondary school Diploma
2. Valid AZ or DZ driver’s licence
3. Experience in the maintenance and operation of various pieces of equipment including dump trucks, backhoe, wheel loader, dozer, excavator, grader, tractor, hydro vac unit, chainsaws and other small tools as required.
4. An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Range: $21.15 - $26.43/hr.
