Furnival Road Construction Intersection Closure

Intersection Closure April 19th to 23rd

Reconstruction and storm sewer installation within the intersection of Furnival Road and Queens Line is planned to be completed the week of April 19th – April 23rd. During this time, unfortunately the intersection will be closed entirely to through traffic. A further temporary detour will be established to ensure product deliveries, residents, and local traffic can still make there way to the required destination(s). 2021 Grass Fire Reminder

A reminder from the West Elgin Fire Department.....

.....for residents to be cautious when conducting open burning. Despite some recent rains conditions are still dry for April and there have been several grass fires recently, which can spread quickly to nearby buildings and trees.

All open burns must abide by the conditions listed on the burn permit, and permits are available through the Municipal website at no charge.
