Friendly Reminder of Garbage Bag Limit

This is just a friendly reminder that a limit of three (3) garbage bags for curbside collection
will come into effect January 1, 2021, per household in the Municipality of West Elgin.

Due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in neighbouring health units, the Municipality of West Elgin has made the decision to suspend rentals, and/or use, of facilities by individuals from areas that have been placed in a high risk designation.

Service Ontario Office is CLOSED on Friday December 11, 2020 and will reopen on Monday December 14, 2020. Service Ontario Offices in Newbury ( 9 am-5 pm) and Dutton (8:30 am to 4:00 pm) are open

West Elgin Festival of Lights 2020

On December 4 & 5 from 6 to 9 pm, come out and enjoy 23 winter themed light displays. We encourage you to keep the safety of volunteers, staff and other community members in mind. Please remain in your vehicle to drive through the event. Arrive with immediate household members and wear a face covering to enjoy the light display.
Please enter through Albert Street or Queens Street or Ridout Street.
Exit towards Maple Street, all traffic will be one way.
